Let's never forget how important it is to show, say, spread love to people before it's too late for them to soak up the warmth and tenderness of it all. Mere weeks after i took these photos, beloved Kyle died in a heartbreaking car accident....but true love never dies and we ALL shine on, on and on and on and on. Like the moon and the stars and the sun...and Kyle was REALLY sparkly. Condolences to all who are missing his warmth but take comfort in being filled with his love.
Kyle, Alexandra, and Stella the bitch sit together for my camera romance novel style.

A couple shots from the same set up showed up on a roll of Kodak portra 35mm film I just got back. Film testing an old model Nikon camera with a Nikkor lens passed my way by a Holmey (I spelled it that way for a reason). I just wish i got these developed sooner.

On this day I was shooting Alexandra and feeling tongue tied in my direction for her and from the shadows behind me, Kyle (with a bubblegum vodka cocktail in hand) simply said "fifth position". Sure enough she wiggled around right to where i wanted her to be for the photo and snap. Thanks Kyle :)
The following is a charming story from Alexandra.

"The first boy I had a love song with besides my dad was Kyle; it was Sonny and Cher, "I got you, babe". We had been best friends since we met when we were 6 and 7, but the song didn't become "ours" until the fifth grade when he asked me to perform it with him for our elementary school talent show. Since even his first on-stage performance, Kyle has either cast himself or been cast as a female character. But he obviously wanted me to do the Cher part (under his strict directorship, of course). I hadn't heard of Sonny and Cher until this point.
He made me ride my bike around to garage sales at the end of the school year for a month to look for the perfect outfit. He ended up choosing a dark red full length polyester jump suite for me; it was pretty perfect, looking back on it. He had a mint green lounge suite that he had been showing off all year that he was going to wear for Sonny. Kyle and I worked hard to make our act great. He had the song on tape; we listened to it 4ever and memorized the lyrics. He showed me videos of the two singing the song, directing me to the strange movement of Cher's mouth that I should attempt in our performance. He made me practice swinging my hair back and forth until I stopped doing it "so fast" and looked "less stiff".
I didn't realize it at the time, but it was Kyle's proposal to me, and I accepted. We promised to love each other forever, to always be there for each other; we really meant it. We got older and nothing changed. We said "love you" to each other every day until the day he died. I don't regret anything in our relationship; he knew he was my main man for life. I wish I could take that night back; I wish I still had him to hold my hand, to talk with me, walk with me, hold me tight. Where ever you are, Kyle, I got you, babe. I got you, I won't ever let go; and I know I still got you to love me so. RIP, motherfucker."
